08/01/2021 Update on COVID-19

MASKs will again be required for EVERYONE entering LifeForce

We will again require everyone entering LifeForce, including those who have been fully vaccinated or have had Covid, to wear a mask. This decision comes after the CDC made the following points on July 29, 2021:

• Even fully vaccinated people can carry and spread the Covid-19 Delta variant.
• The duration of immunity after having had Covid is still in question and re-infection is possible.
• The Delta variant is more transmissible than the common cold, the 1918 “Spanish” flu, smallpox, or Ebola.
• Only 47% of New Hanover County is fully vaccinated. (79.5% for those 65 and older)

Furthermore, please be aware that it is neither illegal nor a HIPAA violation to ask your vaccination status or require you to wear a mask (North Carolina Executive Order 215, May 14, 2021).
As a matter of public health, we choose to err on the side of caution.
